Good morning Col Burroughs and Posse. As usual when I looked at the calendar on Friday there wasn't much for this week but somehow already this morning, it is filling up quickly, LOL. At least I am rarely bored.
I like this quote from Winston Churchill. I do find that planning is essential; it always changes but it gives you a starting point. Without it, things are chaotic and the really important pieces get overlooked. For my deployments I have an "essential packing list" That doesn't mean I don't add (and occasionally subtract from it based on necessity and location but without it I am likely to forget my daily medication, glasses or some other needed items.
How do you make sure you take care of the essentials?

I pray dear LORD that each one of YOUR adopted sons and daughters who reads this prayer or listens to it being read has our spiritual house in order and that we are not judgmental against our brothers and sister-in-Christ. I pray that we each submit our daily plans to YOU as well as longer-range plans. I pray for patient endurance for us as we wait upon YOUR answer. ‘Even youths shall faint and be weary, and young men shall fall exhausted; but they who wait for the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.’ [Isaiah 40:30-31 ESV]
I pray that the United States Congress will negotiate in good faith. I pray for compromise on non-essential riders to Infrastructure legislation. Hopefully the riders will be stripped from the legislation as unnecessary pork. I pray that authorization for critical race theory will be considered pork. 'Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of the time, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the LORD is.' [Ephesians 5:15-17 ESV]
I pray for wisdom for the Supreme Court chief justice and associate justices as they review cases and make judgements. 'Learn to do good; seek justice, correct oppression; bring justice to the fatherless, plead the widow's cause.' [Isaiah 1:17 ESV]
