I expect that you enjoyed time of pleasant wind as you traveled through this life. At times I expect the winds of change brought turbulence into your life which though not welcome, you endured through it by God’s grace Mikel.
I pray that you and I are stable as we are standing on the foundation of the rock of Christ and that we each are assisting others as best we can to deal with the fallout the winds of change are bringing to us. I pray we each seek God’s guidance to assist them, my brother-in-Christ COL Mikel J. Burroughs.

I pray that YOU bless each of YOUR adopted sons and daughters with wisdom, steadfastness in the truth, compassion, and goodness. Let YOUR light and love shine through us to those in need of positive examples in this period of turbulence.
I lift the governments at different levels and especially pundits who attempt to sew dissention among the people at this period of confusing messages to YOU. I pray You shake up those who are focused on fomenting discord and YOU bless leaders with wisdom to navigate though this period of radical change.

I thank YOU LORD for YOUR Word, YOU know our deepest needs and meet them in your perfect timing and YOU speak to us so that we can understand YOU "There he came to a cave and lodged in it. And behold, the word of the LORD came to him, and he said to him, “What are you doing here, Elijah?” He said, “I have been very jealous for the LORD, the God of hosts. For the people of Israel have forsaken your covenant, thrown down your altars, and killed your prophets with the sword, and I, even I only, am left, and they seek my life, to take it away.” And he said, “Go out and stand on the mount before the LORD.” And behold, the LORD passed by, and a great and strong wind tore the mountains and broke in pieces the rocks before the LORD, but the LORD was not in the wind. And after the wind an earthquake, but the LORD was not in the earthquake. And after the earthquake a fire, but the LORD was not in the fire. And after the fire the sound of a low whisper. And when Elijah heard it, he wrapped his face in his cloak and went out and stood at the entrance of the cave. And behold, there came a voice to him and said, “What are you doing here, Elijah?” [1 Kings 11: 9-12 ESV]
I pray that each one of YOUR adopted children and their loved ones slept well Monday night.
By the power and authority of the Name above all names, Jesus the Christ.

Good Monday Morning COL Mikel J. Burroughs from the cloudy skies of Greater Boston! Temp of 55° & warming up to ~65°! Excellent topic Colonel: “Wind Therapy Day!” Why Not?

A. "And forget not that the earth delights to feel your bare feet and the winds long to play with your hair." - Khalil Gibran

B. "The pessimist complains about the wind; the optimist expects it to change; the realist adjusts the sails." - William Arthur Ward

C. "I hear the wind among the trees Playing the celestial symphonies; I see the branches downward bent, Like keys of some great instrument." - Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

D. "Forget about enlightenment. Sit down wherever you are and listen to the wind that is singing in your veins. Feel the love, the longing and the fear in your bones. Open your heart to who you are, right now, not who you would like to be. Not the saint you're striving to become. But the being right here before you, inside you, around you. All of you is holy. You're already more and less than whatever you can know. Breathe out, look in, let go." - John Welwood

For those who love the open road...

“Whether you’re on a motorcycle on the open road, a sail boat on the open water, or just flying a kite on windy day, nothing compares to the feeling of windy therapy against your face and body!” — COL (Ret) Mikel Burroughs

1. Wind therapy is an interesting idea my friend.

2. As an avid motorcycle enthusiast, I can recognize that it is attraction to you and hopefully Bella:-)

3. Helicopter rotor wash brings to my mind wind therapy. Of course, you had to be careful approaching or exiting the helicopter in order to keep your head on your shoulders. :-)

4. As the LORD reminded Elijah HE speaks in a low whisper to HIS own. HE is not in the wind, not in the earthquake, and not in the fire. God is Spirit and we worship HIM is spirit and in truth

5. My heart goes out to those in the paths of meandering tornadoes and more direct hurricanes which have winds which are not therapeutic in any sense.

1 Kings 11: 912 ESV-
"There he came to a cave and lodged in it. Nothing quite like being under the racing blades of an Apache, guiding her back, into the turn and give the final salute until she returns. I miss being a crew chief

Nothing like a hot wash from rotor blades on any chopper pulling you out of a hot LZ or setting you down on home base after a mission. Nothing like looking out the back of a CH46 leaving a mess behind and going home to Cold Coca Cola and Hot Pizza... That wind stunk, but it sure was nice... Gunns/JP

Yup! And going back to base after a day in hell.... Pretty nurses, bad burgers, cold cokes, somewhat normal chow, hot/cold shower, and a fairly comfortable place to sleep... JP
