Reading COL Mikel J. Burroughs's Story today made me want to share my Saturday afternoon's events.

Our local Combat Vets Motorcycle Association, Montana 46-1 participated in the MT Bikers for Kids in Need event yesterday. There were 14 Motorcycle clubs, groups, and associations that delivered Christmas meals and gifts to 50 families in Great Falls. Our chapter delivered food (a turkey, vegetables, dinner rolls, milk, ice-cream), gifts and stocking stuffers for the kids and pet food to 4 families, including a family from Malmstrom AFB who took in 3 of their relative's kids from foster care and was struggling with 5 total kids on an E-3's salary. It was inspirational to meet the families and see how appreciative they were to receive the small bit of help we provided.

As CVMA's motto is "Vets Helping Vets", we spent $350 on clothes and gifts for the Malmstrom family's 5 total kids and donated an additional $200 to spend as they need. The 3 kids were truly thankful to be with new family and seemed overwhelmed that we decided to "adopt" them for Christmas. They wanted to come out and take pictures with us by our bikes. It was a great day for all of us.

TSgt David L. brother it is not about the comparison. Helping one person or a hundred....it is about helping period. I am sure the Col would agree. Nice sled
