Capt Dwayne Conyers - Maybe to put things in perspective, what is $22,000,000 to Bloomberg, with a net worth of $50,800,000,000? That is setting aside the wealth of another gun-hater George Soros. We will also not mention the wealth of the Clintons, and their "charity".

Capt Dwayne Conyers - Bloomberg spent $50 million by himself to attack gun rights.

Capt Dwayne Conyers - The NRA is the left's bogeyman, but really all it is is an advocacy group, just like the Brady Campaign, Everytown for Gun Safety, Coalition to Stop Gun Violence, etc. And those groups funnel money into the campaigns of politicians who support gun control. It's exactly the same phenomenon.

I'm not an NRA member, but I'm glad that they are putting their money towards a valid constitutional purpose, to protect firearms rights.

MSgt (Join to see) - Exactly. Groups that protect the First Amendment are critical, like FIRE, FFRF, and so on.

At this point I think we need groups protecting all of our constitutionally protected rights. Sad that it has come to this.

Capt Gregory Prickett - can you imaginge if the argument used by the anti gun groups of “the founding fathers only meant muskets not semi automatics” was applied to freedom of speech “ the founding fathers only meant printing presses and newspaper not electronic communication like the internet” or others “the founding fathers only meant the government couldn’t physically search your home without a warrant but they didn’t intend it to mean that the government can’t access all your personal internet installed cameras and monitor you at home that way”.

MSgt (Join to see) - it's a ridiculous position--I sometimes say that I'll support more firearms restrictions when they will agree to licensing preachers and requiring that their sermons be pre-approved.
