I have a question about taking a knee when the national anthem is played as a sign of protest. When we attend a Christian ceremony or pray, when we kneel we are showing respect to God. Why is it disrespectful when we kneel for the national anthem. Service men kneel to pay respect for a fallen comrade. Men take a knee when thy ask their sweetheart if they will marry them. It is unamerican to call persons as liberal or conservative. We are all American citizens. If you were wounded in combat would you ask the medic if they are liberal or conservative before you would let them save you?

I want to set the record straight. I am a marine (59-63) Weather you stand or kneel it is still a sign of respect. Thats what counts. Protesting is an American right as long as we don't damage property. I am also a Vietnam veteran. I was also in the army, I was in boot camp at parris island Now if the person who kneeled had burned the flag instead, I would have been pissed. I know the difference between medics and corpman, they both do the same job. I completed Boot camp and ITR' so I know what you are talking about. Your first sentence pissed me off. You have your opinion I have mine. I was with the 205th ord. Plt Ammo in vietnam we had two men wounded and one ammo dump blown up. I was their in in 65-66. Semper Fi.

Yes or no, as an American business owner, I can tell an employee to save his/her social justice warrior activities for their own time, and not while representing themselves as part of my company.

Would the left favor the on field protest if neo-Nazi players chose to display American Nazi Party symbols and render the Nazi salute during the anthem? Hell, they won't tolerate statues of Confederate Icons in a public park

While I do see what you are trying to say Sir, I also see the fact that this is a form of freedom of speech which no company can stop you from with out legal recourse! They are not sitting on the bench, they are taking a knee to bring light to social injustice that goes on everyday in this country! The inherent flaw in your logic is when you bring up the neo-Nazi comparison. The protest the players are involved in is not a symbolism of hate in anyway shape or form! It is just to bring attention to the social inequalities of minority groups in America that’s all!! It has not one thing to do with any race superiority!!!

Also sir the issue with the Confederate statues is that the confederacy was founded on slavery! It says it right in the confederate constitution, as well as the book written by the confederate Vice President! The biggest issue that a lot of people have with them is the fact that the overwhelming majority of these statues where put around 1950 during the height of Jim Crow in former confederate states!!

There are no words. For these people everything is racist, and when everything is racist, noting is racist.
