As much as I hate these open carry jagoffs (who got open carry banned here in CA a few years ago) I have to admit it's pretty crazy how much of a difference there was in the way the two jagoffs were treated. In any case they both got the attention and video footage they so desperately were seeking.

PO2 Robert Aitchison, what about those who carry when no camera is around? The Coppers weren't performing for a camera. There must be some truth there.

There are several things wrong with 'gotcha' videos like this. I would like to know is it the same neighborhood? Or at least of similar status? What was in the immediate area (schools, churches, playgrounds), Seems there is a few details missing. This almost seems a though they were trying to create a particular response.

I am a full supporter of the 2nd, but why would you just walk around like that?

My first thought also was the neighborhoods. To have a fair test, both the black and the white guys should have done it in similar neighborhoods, if not the same neighborhood.

Well, your perception may be valid. If it was the same cop in both situations, I'd say you have a point. But cops are people and different people react differently in different situations. And, unfortunately, both cops were wrong anyway. One was just less wrong than the other. Neither of the cops should have confronted the individuals who were lawfully open carrying as they had not threatened anyone and had not broken any laws.
