If people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles.

In Oklahoma you can use a cane pole without a reel attached to it for fishing and you don't need a license. Isn't this a great state or what.

That's good to know. I'm just an hour or so from the Oklahoma line.

As the grandkids came and keep coming, I bought 10 times more fishing poles than in the preceding 50 years of my life. (I've also bought more 22 ammunition than in the preceding 50 years of my life.)

My grandkids are enjoying the fruits of prosperity and my green thumb, they all have or will learn on a bamboo pole cut from our backyard patch. And worms from the garden. After years of applying mulch and coffee grounds, we have near anacondas.

Never bothered with branch. Hook, line, sinker and a piece of hot dog or bologna. Finger cats go for it. I learned not to leave stringer in water once. Noticed commotion in pond near it, but kept fishing. Pulled up catfish heads. Snapping turtle.
