I honestly just signed up on this website because I am really needing an answer. I PCSd last month (March 2018), and did not receive my PCS Award nor did not get any recognition that I'm leaving the unit (I digress on that topic). The Form 638 was submitted 5 times prior my PCS date and from what I heard from my squad leader it was already approved. However, upon checking my ERB and PPW today (4/11), nowhere I can find this award. I haven't received my AGCM neither but it's on my ERB/PPW so I don't care to receive the hard copy. So what do I do in this situation? I honestly don't want to contact my previous unit because they're a POS who don't track of paper works or anything unless it's a bad thing.

You might want to contact your old S-1, they will get the ball rolling

SFC James, I did and they told me to ask my company. Yeah they're that rude and unhelpful. At this point, I'm at my wit ends and I'm going to be that soldier who's going to contact higher up.

My next step would be your 1SG and if that doesn't work, your CSM

If your previous unit is that unresponsive about your PCS award, I personally would just drop it, because it's actually killing you, not them...like you said, they don't give shit!

The PCS award is an award not an entitlement, what it takes is for your squad leader or someone in your chain of command to take the initiative to recognize a Solder and properly submit it and then hope that someone in the S-1 knows to forward it on to Bragrade. There are a lot of moving parts on this and all it takes is for someone not to do their job. I wish you luck. I have had three PCS movements with no recognition and received awards while in the unit only to leave with nothing. the most you can do is to contact someone at your old Unit and see if they can follow up on it. Good Luck.

I feel your pain, because that has happened to me several times. I ETS'd from Fort Hood in 2010 without anyone saying anything, much less a good-bye.

I’d contact Brigade S-1 with this issue.
