TONIGHT's Topic: "Dealing with Shame!"
Last week we discussed the implications of holding onto shame. Once we learn what limiting beliefs are not helping us, we then have the ability to release ourselves from them. This starts with Self-Forgiveness. Self-love starts with acceptance of our human parts, and recognizing that we will make mistakes, and that is part of the journey. The journey to Self-Forgiveness starts here.
This is Part I. in a two part session. Next week we will practice acts of self-forgiveness during our reflection exercise. If there's something you're ready to let go and forgive, there's no time like the present. You don't have to battle it alone.

Don’t be ashamed over matters you have no control over. It is what it is. It is a wasted emotion and does not help you. Shame and guilt can be anchors that prevent progress. Cut those chains an liberate yourself. You can not change the past.

SMSgt Lawrence McCarter - I noticed for me, my mind tends to throw out the bad memories and retains the good ones, but sometimes the bad memories come back.

I certainly agree with you but some just can't realize this at these low times. I pray for them still.

Often the fist person that is difficult to forgive is one's self.

I agree Lawrence, but at some point, you just have to let things go. Carrying that extra baggage should never be an issue, there is always something better at the end of that long tunnel! Peace of mind is an awesome feeling brother!

This happens many times and I agree with you all the way, all we can do is pray for people.
