When I was on active duty in the Army we didn't have PT uniforms. I suppose it is a good idea to have them.

It really isn't. The new boots are basically sneakers with ankle support and the BDU/ABU/whatever pants work fine with a T-shirt. Hanging out downrange off duty, while technically more comfortable, just makes us look like a bunch of high school gym class kids. With reflective belts. Not exactly a "force to be reckoned with".

We only wore PT uniforms when in training (basic, tech school, PME) I prefer it that way.
