What is hard to fathom for me is, what does “Shall not be infringed “ do they not understand?

Because they remember how the United State became the United States; (armed citizens who when pushed to the brink push back at a government that no longer represents them). King George Didn’t like that, just like some in government now don’t like the idea of “We the People…” being the Sovereign instead of them.

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say that its got something to do with having no respect for the rule of law, our heritage, God's desire to see us preserved versus being used like a dish rag by violent criminals; and of course, common sense.
