So let me get this straight. Democrats have talked about impeaching President Trump since the day he won.......for the past three years they've tried to get him on something to remove him from office. Isn't this pre-ordained? Is it and hasn't been set in stone in the minds of the democrats that Trump needed to be ousted? Hasn't the democrats minds been made up since day one?? So, want i want to get straight is......how can the democrats say this with a straight face? How can they say they are more than likely not going to move forward with impeachment to the Senate because it's not going to be a fair trial...that the republicans already have their minds made up, therefore it's not going to be a fair trial. Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ....SERIOUSLY!? Talk about calling the kettle black. First they change the laws, procedures and rules of impeachment to suit their needs....then they refuse to let republicans bring in their choices of people they want to ask questions of....to testify...they've put up every conceivable road block possible, then they have the audacity to act noble. Give me a break!

Great post Sgt Kelli Mays and very succinctly stated and you understood it perfectly! The fox is in the hen house... and now the fox wants the rules of the Senate trial changed to accommodate their pathetic ambitions to cover their pathetic lies, cheating, closed door anti-American process... I could say more, but you get the just of it I am sure!

I can do you one better.
The Democrats had speaker after speaker come to the lectern and say some permutation of how the President is lawless, a threat to national security, a puppet of the Russians, willing to offer bribes, subverting our elections.
It is so serious that we must impeach right now... and then sit on it.
That to me means one or more of four things:
1. Even the Dems know this is bullshit and we are casting more scurillous charges in hopes something sticks.
2. They have a couple irons in the fire and are hoping one of these leads bears fruit before proceedings start.
3. We need to go back to our districts to check which way the wind is blowing. Maybe adjust their messaging based on responses. Oh, and maybe let a poll or two happen to see where opinion is going.
4. Dems simply want to go home for Christmas, and if they forward articles to the Senate, the majority or maybe just the rules will compel the trial phase to happen right away. Sitting on it also allows for negotiations on format, although I think McConnell could GAF what Sen Shumer and Rep Pelosi think.
