I am currently in BLC and will graduate 18 Mar. My 36 TIS requirement is April 8. Will the completion of BLC, the TIS requirement and the publishing of the upcoming months points calculate to the proper form since points are published before my TIS requirements? Basically making sure I will be in the Primary zone vs. secondary?

They should but you need to make sure that once you are back at your unit to go into S-1 and have your ERB updated.

Roger I don't think we will have any problems with S1 after graduation part of our graduation day is an appointment with S! to update records and turn in those pesky required meal cards! Thanks for the reminder though!

Your S1 doesn't update that particular record. Its updated at HRC. hence the delay

Evidently I'm missing something, As far as I know when you complete any course you have to take the DA-1059 and have the course added to your ERB and then the S1 soldier can make sure that it is updated on your promotion points worksheet.

Why is that? The way it reads in the new Regulation is that it is required for pinning to Sgt upon completion of the course, implying you can making the list yet not be pinned.

Usually take about a month for the PPRL's to update. Since you are completing it mid march April 1st date is probably not going to happen. May or June is a more likely order date.

SGT(P) Landon Mintz - you cannot make the list if you're not a graduate. Your name would just be skipped over.

According to S1, everything that is required for promotion must be updated by the 12th of each month thus allowing HRC enough time to determine the eligibility of each Soldier, identify the promotion points required for the next months promotion list, and then submit the list of selected Soldiers to the next rank between the 21st - 24th of each month. In theory, with you graduating on the 8 April, your ERB should be updated and you should be eligible for promotion on 1 May provided you have attained the proper amount of points for promotion. Hope this helps.
