12N SSG with over 29 months of SQD LDR time. I been trying to get a broadening assignment since I was in Germany a year ago, branch send me to FT Riley already been here for a year. I submitted a recruiter packet and also volunteer for drill, and branch manager keeps saying that he don’t have a mission for either or. How can I get a broadening assignment in order to be fully qualify for promotion to E-7 by the end of 2021?

You're requesting it from your branch, they only fill what they are levied to fill. You need to fill out a recruiter or drill packet and send it to recruiter or drill branch, not your branch manager. Instructor is also a broadening assignment for you

I did send my volunteer recruiter packet to recruiter branch and was accepted, but I have to get release by branch manager and nothing about drill.

SSG Andres Rodriguez your branch doesn't need to have a mission to release you, they just have to release you. They don't have a mission for defense Attache either but they have to release you to go into that as well. If your branch refuses to release and you meet the time on station requirements to PCS, look at becoming an instructor

SSG Andres Rodriguez I should also point out that if you have less than 2 years on station, and your branch does not currently have a recruiting mission to fulfill, recruiting branch it's not going to be able to request a waiver to your 3 years time on station requirement

When I volunteered for recruiting in the last century, I went to my personnel shop and they handled things for me. This I know: if you volunteer for recruiting, USAREC will accept you and once they have, there is no backing out. I enjoyed it so much that I finished out my career in USAREC. My assignments enabled my wife to get her LPN and then later her RN. We live in the city where my last assignment was which just happens to be in my home state.
