Demoted from E-2 to E-Fuzzy in AIT, how long would it take to earn that rank back?

Also, before I was demoted, I had already served time in grade for E-2 to E-3, just hadn't made time in service. When I make time in service for E-3, will that time in grade be relevant? Will I automatically hit E-3, because I have already served more than 6 months at E-2, and only needed my 1 year mark to hit PFC?

Buck up and do the time. I got busted from E5 to E4 twice and now I'm just waiting for my orders to drop for LTC. Learn from your mistake and you'll be fine.

Most impressive, sir. Lol... I have made my few mistakes along the way. Great to see such a huge success, and to see that even those doors for your path weren't permanently shut. I know a lot of it has to do with right place & right time. For whatever reason, my past poor choices have still led me to this point, and I'm in a great position in my career to where I feel like some more doors have been opened. Essayons!

I was E5 three times and E6 twice. lol although the last time it was voluntary. Made E6 active duty in USAF then had a break in service and took voluntary reduction to E4 to get into the ARNG. Made it back to E6 the month before I got commissioned.

Your time in grade has reset to PV1 (PVT E-1), your time in service is not relevant. You are going to have to wait to make PV2 and then wait again to make PFC.

I don't know how the time works in the Army, but let me tell you this: your career is NOT over, if you don't choose for it to be. The last MCPON of the Navy got there with 2 Captain's Masts (you'd call it Art 15) on his record. (He turned out to be an asshole and got forcibly retired, but still...he got there) You can forge ahead and be successful yet, young man.

Just choose to.
