Serious answer... Something happened sometime in the past. All of the sudden there was no such thing as honest discussion. We (left, right and in-between) no longer listen to the other sides concerns and positions. We're too busy thinking about what we want to say, how we are going to prove our view. I plead guilty to the same. What we really need to do is figure out what the core issues are and see if we can come up with mutually tolerable solutions.

The argument is definitely about a seat and what to do with it. But they don't even agree on which seat the fight is about. They are so intent on "winning" that they can't see the solution. Sooner or later, out of frustration somebody says something that cannot be unsaid.

I won't say I'm not biased, Maj John Bell! That said, I do listen to opposing arguments. The left has said opposing arguments are violence and are more than willing to censor opposing views.

Leprosy? Educate yourself monette! Isolating people with Hansen's Disease had nothing to do with transmission. The disease drove public disgust over fear and the appearance of the those who presented with the bacterial infections of the disease.

SrA John Monette - Funny how that happens. Maj Bell likes to gish gallop and overwhelm people with specious or cherry picked statistics. He will throw out some stats from a single source and inject his own thoughts, opinions, or claims without making distinction between the two. I would address him directly, but apparently I hurt his feelings in the past so he has blocked me. I suppose it is easy to get a response of DEAFENING silence when the person blocks the opinions and information they don't want to hear. Yet, him and his fellow sycophants are convinced of their own brilliance and rectitude. And now people that don't echo their misinformed opinions are "bots", whatever the hell that means.
