As Arctic sea ice coverage continues to shrink due to warming ocean temperatures, the polar bear population faces a rapidly shrinking habitat. Polar bears have large hunting ranges, and rely on the Arctic ice to get around. Their role as an alpha predator in the Arctic is a crucial part of the natural balance in their unique ecosystem. If our sea ice disappears, the bears may soon follow.

Well since the polar bear is a carnivore which eats humans based on availability and seals regularly, we know if seals could talk they would be cheering, my friend SP5 Mark Kuzinski
In any event, thank you for sharing a great picture of a beady-eyed polar bear on the prowl. No doubt he/she saw the photographer and considered that person to be a meal :-)
Of course those benighted folks who believe that the arctic "faces a rapidly shrinking habitat" are using hyperbole to advance their viewpoint and change everybody's behavior.
Polar bears, wolves, arc foxes, killer whales and eagles are formidable predators to seals, arctic hares and other herbivores.
