Should RallyPoint Web designer consider adding a Section in the Profile for Military Awards for both military personnel and civilian personnel?

Do you think RP members will be honest for the most part and only add those they actually received?
(or)
Do you think some RP members will add awards they didn't actually receive?
(or)
Do you think there is no need for another "love me" section on the profile?

Please vote and provide your thoughts?

One of the worst things a service member can do is to embellish their awards record.

Besides, RP has our DD-214, and nobody could get by with lying about this.

DD-214 usually doesn't have your last award if you received one upon retirement. Unless you submit it later to be added. When I retired, I received the Defense Meritorious Service Medal. The medal, Certificate and such were sent to me a few months after retirement. Do I need it on my DD-214? No not really!!! So I did not send it in to have it included. I know what I received that's all that matters.

COL Mikel J. Burroughs - My 214 is not correct. I should have 2 ARCOMs, that were never actually "awarded". I have the forms, signed from top to bottom, and a photocopy of the certificate for 1 one of them. I didn't know anything about them until I was out processing Ord at My ETS. Nobody seemed to care since I was a Medical.

I'd like to see our Rallypoint Ribbons on a Rack. "Trailblazer with Bronze Oak Leaf," "Downvote Recipient - Tenth Award"... and so on. =)

Good idea. Marksmanship badges could become spelling badges- Expert, Sharptyper, and Nawledgable.

Frankly, the down vote is under valued. I gave one once for a lousy post and the recipient was very angry. Why get upset about a down vote?

No, why do my ribbons, awards, decorations matter, or anyones for that matter?

Fully agree--it's what we do now--not what we did.

Amen Colonel. Unless it's MOH, DSC Navy Cross, CG Cross, AF Cross, Silver Star, Bronze Star w/a V or a CIB, honestly, who cares?
