Check the Promotion List from the past six months. If you are looking towards the end of/beginning of the fiscal year...don't those are scrub months. Unless you are the best of the best, keep going to resident courses, i.e. classes you physically have to be present in for at least 40 hours. Volunteer for all the CBRN ASIs you can NOW!!! Also check out the DA PAM 600-25 Chapter 24 for our specific MOS requirements for each rank. If you manage to tap at least one of these at each rank you will be golden!

Start planning ahead now. Promotions will get harder the further you move up. Take challenging assignments, broadening assignments and additional duties that will set you apart from your peers. CBRN ASIs, Drill SGT, MRT. Alwsys keep improving yourself.

Sfc,
Sorry my prior title has mislead. I dropped ROTC a long time ago and decided to stay enlisted. I've tried to change it in settings, but it doesnt choose to comply. So the real question would be, how are the promotion rates on the enlisted side? E5, e6, and e7.
Thanks

Get your points to max to make sure you're competitive - do everything, go volunteer, get commandant's list, compete on the board, max your APFT.. and so on and so forth because the points rarely go down for 74D
