This question has a large lack of information but based from what I see you have to solve the flag, and be evaled for the perm profile, And most of all solve the BAR before any thing else is going to happen, Much of it is going to be based off of what the BAR and FLAG is for then the profile will be evaled. Other wise I would not look at a reclass I would be expecting a discharge and not exactly favorable.

The bar is from a pt test but I can’t take the alternate event for the run without the permanent profile with having a back issue ortho put me in for permanent profile and a medical reclass because of the type of injury but if I can’t start any of the process with out the flag being fixed the bar is being lifted but not the flag at the moment. Guess my question is how to get the permanent profile to be able to take the alternate officially. I know you can take it being on it longer then 90days but at 90 days they can also initiate chapter but with the med reclass in the works idk how that all plays out? I want to stay in the army I just can’t do the infantry anymore with my issues that have arrived with my lower back

So you have a bar for the APFT (running) fail? Then you have been Flagged for the APFT? And no Permanent Profile from the Medical Team either requesting a medical board review or Reclass? Sounds like time is not on your side. Go to your Chain of Command and get them to help this is what the COC is for they should know the procedure and process to get you on your way. Start with your 1st. line Supervisor/ Team Ldr. ASAP if they drag feet move up the COC until you start getting some help. Good Luck.

You can't reclass till those are lifted and any temporary profile has ended.

SPC (Join to see) the profiles are separate things each. Your PA will give you a permanent profile that initiates the reclass. But it can't be processed until you are administratively clean.
If you search the forums you'll find I've given a very in depth description a few times before that should answer any questions

SPC (Join to see) he's probably just not familiar with the process. The permanent profile will either say refer to med board, or medical reclass

Short answer m, it doesn’t. If you are flagged AND barred, then something is clearly wrong with you to the point that they do not believe you should continue service, you should probably fix that first before seeking info on reclassing

SPC (Join to see) so why wouldn’t they separate you IAW 635-200? Seems like it would be easier. So you failed 2 PT tests and they barred you? Somethings not adding up here

SPC (Join to see) ok, so I’m going to go NCO for a second and say you are completely full of shit. For starters, there are regulations that cover these kinds of things. AR 350-1 F-5 (3) states Soldiers who fail a record APFT or fail to take a record APFT within 12 months will be flagged in accordance with AR 600–8–2. In the event of a record test failure, commanders may allow Soldiers to retake the test as soon as the Soldier and the commander feel the Soldier is ready to test (not to exceed 90 days).

So what: you are flagged following the first failure with the JA code. If you have not taken the 2nd APFT, then you can not reclass, PCS, go to school etc. Upon notification of a second APFT failure, the unit MUST initiate separation proceedings under 635-200.

Everything mentioned above is a punitive measure to remove you from the military.

A bar to continued service is used for non lunatics measures as a commanders means for rehabilitation. These are given to individuals who 1) fail to promote 2) unsatisfactory work performance 3) failure to remove from the ABCP program but maintain satisfactory progress.

The permanent profile is likely not going to help your case as FRAGO 6 of the ACFT identified the minimum events individuals will have to complete while on permanent profile. These events include the Deadlift, the sprint drag carry, and the leg tuck. You will also be required to complete one of the 3 authorized aerobic events.

So like I said earlier, there’s something you aren’t telling us, or your unit has identified you as a hinderance to continued service

That’s false our CO the bar went hand and hand with him and the flag I have not taken a second or test due to the fact that I’m in the process of everything which my unit is finally in understanding of so no I’m NOT hiding anything the bar got removed because it came from higher it needed to be removed or initiate chapter obviously it’s not the case that you said because it got removed but I’m still flagged because of the pt test which I’m on a temporary profile so I cannot take one yet because one it has not exceeded 90 days of me being on the temporary profile I’m waiting on my permanent one and the whole point of this question was to see if the PA was confused like I thought he was about the process and sayig I get the permanent profile when I go to the reclass board. But thanks for your oh so helpful advice but maybe don’t assume things when responding to people’s questions Big Sgt! Thanks again!SSG (Join to see)
