Hello guys , I just wanted to ask a question since i am in the process of enlistment
after going to MEPS for the medical and since I was born in foreign country they asked me to do an extra blood test (QuantiFERON-TB Gold) its a blood test for tuberculosis
after few weeks my recruiter told me that your blood test came up with something and we will need a waiver.
I told him i am pretty sure that I don't have tuberculosis , before coming to the US i had to do a medical test and they checked me for tuberculosis with an X-ray and then he told me that he will get in touch with me if he need more information
So i am wondering how can I prove to them that I don't have tuberculosis , also I am wondering if I am disqualified and the recruiter didn't tell me.
is it possible to try to work thing with another recruiter ?

Thank's for the advice guys

If you're from country where you received a TB vaccine you will show up as having the antibodies for it. As long as your xray shows you don't have TB it should be a routine waiver since we access people from different countries all the time.

Exactly , I had the TB vaccine and that why the results show positive , I hope I will hear from the recruiter soon
Thank you for taking the time to answer my question.
Do you have an idea how long before I receive an answer for the waiver ?

I highly suggest you talk with your recruiter to get more information. According to what you wrote, you said the recruiter told you the blood test came up with something...did he tell you what something is? No matter which MEPS you go too, the processing is the same and your information and any rest you’ve done thus far will be in each system, it’s connected to your social security number. Find out from your recruiter what type of waiver you’re going to need and go from there.

YOU don't prove squat. Going through MEPS every potential recruit is x-rayed. Everyone of them has a full battery of blood tests and examinations that tell a Doctor with no doubts what you have and do not have. If you HAD TB, it would show up. You do not need to do anything. It has already been done.
