I was a Civil Affairs Project Officer at PRT Farah in 2008-2009. Farah Province fell about 3 months ago but no pushback by this administration that conveniently said POTUS Trump set this administration up for failure but on the 1st day of office Biden canceled other Trump executive orders on the Keystone Pipeline and no fracking on federal land.
He had months to punish the Taliban for lying to the US Government. Biden moved the 9/11/2021 deadline to 31 August and he showed no care of Vietnam refugees in 1975 and he again shows no empathy now. He just wants to please the Taliban. Last weekend, I saw the British Parliament having an emergency session on a weekend during the summer recess. NATO is pissed at POTUS Biden but he has this 'ho-hum' attitude about it. The Brass are weak except for one Marine LTC who was relieved after speaking his mind of Marines he knew that died at the Kabul Airport.

What a Deja Vu feeling. I was in seventh grade when South Vietnam fell. My mother was a social worker and she spent 3 weeks at Camp Pendleton helping the DOS with the Vietnamese refugees and I was in college when the hostages were released in 1981.
If President Trump had done this piss poor job, you know the Democrats would be asking for a third impeachment.
I notice no generals and none of the appointed civilian secretaries are being fired or handing in their resignations.

President Biden, and most all Democrats just don’t understand the reality of the world and negotiating with real enemies that will kill you. The big question is will people remember this on the next elections to get people in office who can actually be effective.

MSgt Steve Sweeney - I was going to say some unflattering personal observation about your reasoning, but I will reframe from it. I explained the fact President Biden doesn’t understand the reality of the world and negotiating with real enemies that will kill you. Now put that together with withdrawing all our military forces before “ensuring all America Citizens and Green Card holders are out of Afghanistan”, now put that together with “not enforcing the agreement Biden so proudly cites” when the Taliban didn’t work with the government and started attacking it months ago, now put that together with “Biden trusting the Taliban to secure the airport and get our people to the airport” (this one would be laughable if it weren’t so sad) … I can go on but I won’t bore you.
I gave you facts Mr. Sweeney, facts my granddaughter understands but you don’t seem to. Do you like to see our brothers and sisters die in far off lands because of our leadership being idiots… or are you just dumb? I apologize for calling you out, but if you look closely at this string, I believe I had no choice. Good night Sir.

According to POLITICO, U.S. officials gave over a list of names of U.S. citizens, green card holders and Afghan allies so that the Taliban would grant those people entry into the airport’s outer perimeter.
Lawmakers and military officials are rightly outraged over the fact that the identities of these people were handed over to the Taliban, who is known to be going door to door to find both Americans or anyone who aided the U.S. military during the war in Afghanistan. Taken from Defcon Level Warning
