Today (8 Jul 2020) as noted in the papers, LTC Alexander Vindman supposedly submitted his retirement packet. It would be interesting to know what some military personnel feel about the LTC (as well as his brother) and their work while assigned as members of the NSC over the past couple years. His brother was also a part of the NSC, but in a different section as I understand it. I also read today that LTC A. Vindman was selected for COL, but probably did not know if it would have been approved since it required White House approval. Your thoughts on LTC Vindman's actions and his involvement in President Trump's US House of Representatives impeachment process? I have my personal opinions, but would like to know what the field thinks of his involvement during the whole process.

Enjoy retirement, pretty sure he was done hanging out in the Ukraine with the great gig. He contradicted himself on the stand and went outside the CoC when he didnt like the results. Sorry but he will have a great time being called a "War Hero" on CNN but retirement is best for all involved.

SPC John Cummings - I agree with you on Vindman and I applaud you on being able to separate your feelings for Trump from what Vindman did. There are a few on here that can't do that and won't admit how much of a dirtbag LTC Vindman was. Solely because they dislikes Trump so much. Many people can't separate the two. They feel their hatred for Trump justifies and approves Vindmans actions. He inserted himself into a political discussion solely to hurt the Commander and Chief and brought no new facts to the table. I would feel the same way if an Officer did the same thing to Biden. An officer who did/would do that to Biden would deserve to be dismissed as well.

I too am an Independent. But don't care for Biden and his life long career in politics (his last real job was in 1972 (I dislike ALL careerpoliticians Republican or Democrat. I wish we had a legitimate 3rd party)), racist actions (blocking School segregation, comments against Indian and Pakistani Americans, and multiple times being caught plagiarizing), and having a dear friend that at one point was the leader of the KKK. Trump definitely inflicted his own wounds politically with rogue tweets, punching down with some tweets and arguments, arguing with people that weren't worth the/his time, and not articulating his stances clearly. He would take 2 steps forward with an accomplishment then take 2 steps back by tweeting something or say something silly. Glad that you are one of the exceptions on here of people who didn't like Trump that can separate Vindman actions from their dislike for Trump. I give you 2 thumbs up.

Many people on here who don't like Trump feel the ends justify the means and it's OK for people do something illegal as long as it was to hurt Trump. Not even considering that these kind of actions could be used towards anybody in the future because presidence has not been set. Allowing a presidency like this to be set can hurt anyone in the future not just someone they dislike. Thank you for your refreshing point of view even though you did not like the last president. It's so hard to find people who can separate their dislike of Trump from another person's (Vindman) nefarious activities. Have a good evening and weekend. Sorry for any typos or unclearness. I'm responding via my phone.

Sorry SGT Gray, before you tell someone to shut up you need to stop reading BS from all these right wing groups and I probably read the UCMJ more times thing you since I had to use it a number of times to write up Article 15s, and other offenses in my duties as a 1st Sgt.

Again SGT Gray, but regular retired AF and Army enlisted personal that have completed both their active and inactive reserve time and reached 30 years are "RETIRED" from active service. They are then civilians - yes they receive a retirement. They no longer fall under the UCMJ. It's a different story for officers! As for my leanings, I am neither left or right, I stand for what is right and I can tell the difference between the truth and a bunch of BS, can't say the same for you.

In the big scheme of things, do you really think that arguing on Social Media is going to change anyone's mind? People are so polarized; their minds are already made up. The ONLY thing you accomplish by arguing is showing everyone how petty you are. It's not worth it. Technically, yes, people can be brought out of retirement and prosecuted but figure the odds of it happening. I'll take my chances and tell the truth, even if it is inconvenient, challenges every Progressive paradigm, and causes Liberals' heads to explode. You need to hear the truth.

I called out Obama on his fraud, and got a lot of downvotes by people on Rallypoint who seem to lack judgment when it comes to sniffing out lies.

Obama was a fraud and so is Biden. Neither were fit for office, but for different reasons. Both were installed with the assistance of election fraud. Obama lied about his eligibility and forged the documents he used to establish his identity -- 4 years AFTER the fact! A team of professional forensic investigators sent the digital documents Obama claimed were scans of his original birth certificate to two independent labs (one domestic, and one foreign) and they both concluded that the documents were not scans of an original document and that they were produced on a computer with human intervention. For reasons which defy all common sense and rational explanation, Congress acted as if they were powerless to do anything about it. Any criticism of Obama was met with accusations of being racist and bigoted. The Democrats successfully weaponized political correctness to install a constitutionally unqualified FRAUD in office and got away with it for eight years. Conservatives didn't riot in the streets, jump on police cars, loot stores, or cause mayhem. This is a tactic used by Democrats to punish those who dare oppose them. They pretend to be victims, all the while victimizing others, and infringing on their rights.

Obama's campaign forged signatures to get his name on the ballots of all 50 states, but even when they got caught and he didn't have enough and should have been a write-in candidate, his name appeared anyway. As President Obama lied, broke a lot of laws, and dared Congress to impeach him. He race-baited and played the race card. Anyone that questioned his eligibility and allegiance to this country was declared racist, ridiculed, and labeled a birther. When Obama finished squatting in the White House after 8 years, he didn't leave DC to return to his private life and to write his memoirs; instead, he purchased a mansion just a few minutes from the Capitol where he had a wall built around it, a SCIF installed inside, and from there he plotted his insurrection with Democrat leaders.

Obama is presently on his 3rd term after helping get Joe Biden elected. Biden SHOULD have been answering charges of money laundering, sexual assault, abuse of power, and fraud instead of running for President. Biden clearly benefitted from the Election Fraud made possible by mail in ballots and several states violating their own state constitutions to change election laws without involving their state legislatures. The evidence of Election Fraud was never heard by the Supreme Court or Congress before Congress confirmed an Electoral College vote that was tainted by manipulated vote counts. In WI, Biden won by 20,000 votes, but recently 200,000 voters were stricken from the voting roles. Clearly his slim margin of victory was well inside the margin of error. States are conducting their own audits and the evidence is overwhelming. Some counties in AZ and PA are refusing to comply with subpoena requests and turn over election equipment for forensic analysis. There's only one reason for doing this and it has nothing to do with Security. They're hiding evidence of election fraud that would have given the states to Trump.

Hindsight's 20/20. Had we heeded the wise counsel of our Founding Fathers, we would have made sure he was a natural born citizen, not by Sir William Blackstone's definition, but by Emerich de Vattel's. The Founding Fathers were familiar with both their writings and clearly they didn't agree with Blackstone who argued that one's loyalty and allegiance are established at birth and the "subject" is indebted to their sovereign for life and can not change that relationship on their own. Vattel argued that "citizens" can unilaterally rescind their citizenship and swear their allegiance to another sovereign at any time without having to state any reason why. Had the Founding Fathers gone by Blackstone's definition, there would never have been a Revolution.

Obama's loyalty and allegiance are not with this country and Biden is a cognitively challenged sell-out that was selected because he'll do whatever he's told and is easy to get rid of. All they have to do is declare him cognitively incapable of performing his duties and Pelosi will knock Harris out of the way to make history as America's first female President. Biden still answers to his former boss, and gets in trouble whenever he goes off script. He is being protected by the Progressive oligarchs that own the media, as well as Big Tech. They manipulate public opinion by controlling what we see and hear. It's too bad so many people are so gullible that they eagerly gobble up all the swill they are being fed. It's a shame that more people aren't critical thinkers and don't think for themselves.

I believe that he endangered National Security as well as his brother and should be investigated by the Army for his conduct on the NSC.

MSgt Gilbert Jones He testified to counseling Foreign nationals. I'd that part of the oath? Isn't there something in the oath of following the orders of those placed over you? Didn't he violate that both with going around his Chain of Command and by placing his policy desires over the Commander in Chief.

IMHO, I really do not support his receiving retirement pay due to the fact he played a role in the attempt to impeach his Commander in Chief while serving on Active Duty. His testimony was based upon false information and I feel he should be held accountable for his actions...just my two cents

LTC Joe Anderson - 100% agree with your great assessment. As much as I would like to see people go to jail for all the fraud cases in all the various different locations, it will never happen as the deep state is too big and too protective of their own power structure. At least it was shown what it is all about.

Gilbert still believe the bounty scam. That has been proven to be a myth. The intelligence community has released a few reports stating there's nothing to prove that the Russians ever offered bounties on US soldiers. Even so.. let's say it was true. Why doesn't Biden do anything about it? That piece of propaganda was released about this time a year ago. Yet Biden hasn't I done anything about it? Because it's false. It was just a political tool for the gullible. Mr Jones needs to keep up with current events. The muppet in office right now is the Commander in Chief in name only or PIMO. Obama listened to his generals and military advisers? That's laughable. Look what happened in Syria and Iraq because he wouldn't. Heck he also he fired his top general in Afghanistan and look where we are now. Not that I was a big not that I was a big fan of Petraeus. And I have to agree with both trump and Biden Afghanistan Afghanistan is now the point where it's unwindable. We gave. We gave up the initiative and lost our leverage search early on thanks to thanks to Rumsfeld. Wosrt SECDEF in war time EVER. But Obama never listened to his military advisers either. I know when I was in conducting counterterrorism in Yemen he micromanaged us and we could not support our allies without POTUS approval.

As far as trump being a dictator and racist. Mr Jones loves to throw that out there. But never post any proof of, how Trump was a dictator or racist. Had he won the election what was his plan to remain an office for life? How would he have accomplish, what measures were in place to facilitate his Dictatorship? All things Gilbert refuses to answer but loves to spew out unsupported ridiculous statements.

But I would never block Mr. Gilbert, or want him to be moved or muted. Because I do not agree your censorship. Even though he's very misguided, uninformed, and more fun to read for comic relief than for any actual meaningful contribution. Free speeche is important. So even his babbling rants. Should be posted. It's just too bad he doesn't realize how he sounds to most of the RP member. Fortunately those who think like him are the minority on here. Not all but mostly Never Trumpers and suffering from TDS.
