Surely, if military-provided reassignment surgeries weren't a factor, we'd have 20 fully operational F-35 squadrons with more on the way!

SSgt Ryan Sylvester I am pretty sure that the F-35 is never going to be the plane that was promised. We are throwing good money after bad to get this thing going. We could adopt a concept like the Grippen or Typhoon and have an operational plane at a fraction of the cost in a fraction of the time. Additionally, all of the rhetoric out there would make it seem that everyone who joins is getting in line for a gender bender surgery, which is simply not the case.

Yeah, trust me, I know $8.4 million isn't going to make a dent in the multi-trillion dollar boondoggle that is the F-35. It was a nice concept, but they need to scrap it and start over or otherwise move on.
