Some of these statues are 3 stories high and 82 tons. 8-2 TONS.
Question: How did regular humans, without developed lifting machinery, pick these things up to stand upright? (some are still laying in the ground there not having been “risen”)
Possible Answer: PreFlood period Giants or some that came “after”. ( Genesis 6:4)

And, who are they supposed to resemble? (not humans) [some sort of gods ・゚✧ ✧゚]

Aloha Sarge,
The Moai all face the Sea, and until just a few decades ago they didn't even know that they had bodies underneath. Several methods of construction and transportation (as cited in the article) have shown how they may have been transported and raised. I am not sure what you meant about ..."not humans." They were never meant to be models of Humans, they were (at least we think they were) representations of Gods to scare away invaders. Tiki's (another form of Moa) can be found all over Polynesia from Tahiti, Tonga, Samoa, all the way up through Oceania, Fiji, Palau and the like. Granted most are not made of stone, but some of the wooden ones also stood two to five meters tall.

All the Moai face the sea...and they are huge. Here is a picture of me in my bright yellow shirt...standing next to a head buried up to the neck. Weird stuff all over the Earth.

Thanks for sharing! It was cool you got to see them in person ! (I still think the massive statues were put in place by massive beings...just like the pyramids )
Ever get to see Crop Circles? That’s a fascinating anomaly

Sgt (Join to see) - Hey Sarge, I am old now, almost fifty years since that picture and in all that time I have learned a few things. One of them is a quote from a famous Scientist whose name escapes me right now (I told you I am old. LOL) And he said:

"Not only is the Universe stranger than we thought, it is stranger than we can imagine!"

Stay fascinated...and keep learning!

Hey 50s still a kid ;)) Keep exploring. Btw, I just found a RP Paranormal group that I might be shadowing. Think I’ll repost the Moai there for someone’s interest. I Thank God for the supernatural, it gives us wider perspective on our mortal lives.
