Practical Coronavirus Protection Advice:
1. When shopping take a shopping cart that has been left outside where the sun and weather will 'clean' the cart in about 15-20 minutes.
(I'm leaving this though I have had an MD tell me that it will last longer. Epidemiologists do not yet know how long the Coronavirus will last on exposed surfaces. Results have varied from 10 minutes outside in wet weather up to 72 hours on exposed inside hard surfaces. Take care either way and carry those wipes.)
2. Best to take one from the front of the cart line since they will have been 'cleaned for a longer period.
3. When you take your groceries outside, leave the cart outside, not returning it to the store.
4. Carry hand wipes to use before/after opening doors.
5. Wear long sheaves and push open doors using elbows when possible.
6. Use rubbing alcohol mixed w/dish soap to make an inexpensive sanitizer.
7. Hang outside your home and vehicles for a few minutes in the sun before entering to let the weather 'clean' you.
8. When someone comes to visit meet them outside where they cannot expose your home.
9. Create areas where visitors you do let in are not allowed, by closing normally open doors and rooms.
10. Look for signs of illness on people you meet at any area you go plus don't ignore those of your friends and family 'because you know them'.
