MSG Quick, I think that we owe it to the country to serve. We defend the freedoms that we and all Americans have and have come accustom to. We have to carry on like our forefathers before us

Well stated I agree that we owe our country not the other way around.

Just a honest thank you for your service is all I need along with a sincere hand shake and a high five or two. No plaques, trophies, coins or other going away awards other than the ETS retirement award that is processed through S1.

A thank you now and again. Don't change or back off on the promises you made me when I started serving and we will be alright.

I want nothing in return for my service. It was my honor and duty to serve this great nation to ensure that maybe others could experience the great life I have had. That is why I joined the Army at 18 and volunteered to go to Vietnam. I was able to do what I wanted because I was free to do so. That is all the thanks I need.
