Thank you my friend Sgt Trevor Barrett for making us aware about the news from Rochester Institute of Technology that "OpSiix is campaigning to raise $5,000 or more to support the development of [their] mobile app and to begin generating web presence.
OpSiix is an RIT, multidiciplinary student group looking to build the bridge between veterans, their communities, and organizations that care. Separating from the military and moving to a civilian life is no easy task. The process is too much for most to navigate through on their own, but there is strength in numbers. Utilizing the larger veteran network during an individuals transition out of the military is vital to successfully adjusting into a civilian environment. The OpSiix mobile app makes it easy to connect to your local veteran community and start participating. Through our mobile app, website, devices, and brand, OpSiix will provide the tools for veterans to begin succeeding together. Right now, we are the ones reaching out to the community for help in raising $5,000 or more. This funding is necessary to support travel expenses for necessary conferences and seminars as well as towards research and the development of our product. The money we raise here will also go towards beginning to build our web presence to eventually be something veterans, their families, supporting organizations, and civilians can unite under together to support those who have served to protect society. So please, donate to our campaign and tell a couple friends about us."
