2-weeks ago, I was contacted by the family of a veteran looking for assistance, through the Azimuth Check Foundation.

"Did I know where to get used boots for their soldier?"

This veteran wanted to enjoy the winter months, with his family, skiing. So, over the summer, he picked up equipment at a yard sale. Rear-entry boots, long straight skis, and bindings so old that the shops refused to touch them. He had even gone out a few times this season, on that gear, to get ready to ski with his family. But, his boots "just disintegrated" as he walked out of the lodge with his family, the first time they went together.

I asked the family for a few days, to make some calls and send some messages to my friends in the ski industry.

Within minutes of blasting out the message, I had a response from the 'Ski & Snowboard Outlet Liquidation Center'.

"Whoohoo! Lets take care of him and get him out there! Come by tomorrow."

10-Days later, we received this message from the Veteran;

"Thank you Azimuth Check Foundation for the new ski equipment. I was able to ski all day long with my two boys at Cranmore."

But, it wasn't us, it was Larry & Mark at the Ski & Snowboard Liquidation Center that made this happen. We were just the conduit.

Because of Mark & Larry's efforts, our Veteran got to spend MLK Monday, skiing with his family, making new memories and finding a way to enjoy life after injury; in a comfy pair of new boots.

We cannot say thank you enough.
