I think those that despise Trump come from a few camps:
1. The hard core left: They despise anything that looks or smells like conservatism or capitalism or putting America first. They think they are citizens of the world and that we need to assimilate into the collective globalist camp and we will all be happier for it. This is the mainstream of the democrat party. They wear pink beanies, they protest non stop, they break things, whine a lot and cannot accept people that think anything other than what they think.

2. Washington insiders: These creatures come from both parties. They cannot stand the fact that Trump jumped the line and went to the front of it even though they have no issue with illegal aliens jumping the line to the front of the immigration process. These insiders look at power in DC much like the divine right of kings or something. You have to be in the line of succession, you must kiss the ring, bow to the emperors in the halls of DC. Trump basically end arounded them and they cannot stand it.

2. Pointy headed intellectuals: They are the smartest people in any room they occupy. Trump has not spent his life in their hallowed halls of academia or talking about it's virtue as the only way to become great. The intellectuals believe the only people that can hold power must come through an Ivy League school, must be one of the club members and bow and scrape before their greatness.

These three groups (and likely some sub groups) have created an informal alliance of dislike and outright hatred of Trump bordering on insanity. He can do no right, everything is excessively critiqued by one or all of the groups. The middle of America, who do not really fit into these groups elected Trump because of his direct, no BS, get it done and put America first mentality.

I think it is magnified by those that think the Presidency is the domain of the professional politician only. It is rather humorous that the Political Party that preaches to the public about diversity in the workplace in regards to experience and work backgrounds has a very low tolerance level for it when someone with an atypical work background is elected. The bar in regards to making mistakes is raised to such an impossibly high level. Respect for the Constitution and Diversity in the White House has flown out the window because it's not "their guy". Very sad.

When the #NotMyPresident tag began circulating, I was both entertained and angered. Unless you're not a U.S. Citizen... yes, he is YOUR President.
