Those that elected Trump are simplistic, uneducated, ignorant, racists, illiterate jerks! Why? Because I said so and I am an expert. Funny, I have a masters degree and read a fair amount. I am also a fundamentalist Christian. Funny I am not a racist because I know God created and loves all people. I have seen profound faith that rattles me more than you can imagine because of the faith in God of some of the black patients I have taken care of, and the presents of his spirit in them is remarkable. A young women , Nurse here in Augusta Ga, won a humanitarian award because of her Christian outreach. Oh I am sorry, she isn't Caucasian. I am sorry there are people, such as the author, that are guilty of such ignorant stereotypes !

Capt Gregory Prickett - Touche! Except one thing--I am neither a whale nor a puffer fish. A human requires all the factors. He didn't say anything to dispute that. He also didn't specify what is present in place of factor 12 in whales or what is in place of whatever factor(s) are missing in puffer fish or at least explain what it is about these animals' blood that allows the system to still work. As for why I didn't choose the eye, organisms can live without an eye while it develops slowly over eons. I also know that there are countless examples of primitive photo sensing cells in many organisms that one could argue (if they tried) are evolutionary steps to the development of something like an eye, if not an eye itself.

SPC Jasen E. - OK, a human has all of the factors - which is not the same as requires all of the factors. Blood clotting evolved in the same manner as the eye evolved, over time, and developing as it went.

Wow! This is an excellent demonstration of what the pundits et al are saying: The intelligentsia have no clue as to what is happening in fly-over America, and with an attitude like this, they never will. This article is a compendium of condescending sophistry. Keep it up and we may never see another progressive elite in the White House ever again. (And yes, that would suit me just fine)

CPT Jack Durish - that's easy, because the Constitution is not built on Judeo-Christian values. The Constitutional Convention delegates beat back every effort to insert god into the Constitution. Most preachers and church leaders of the day lobbied against the ratification of the Constitution. The Christians didn't begin to revise history with the Judeo-Christian myth until much, much later, in the 1920s and 1930s.
