I would be one of few, if not the only, US Army personnel there. Branch is saying its a high profile broadening assignment also.

**UPDATE** Thanks to everyone that responded. I have been selected to fill this position!

If you don't take that, just start doing push ups right now.
Of course you want this assignment, and don't delay if you haven't already accepted.

HAHAHA...yeah I wish it were that easy. I did however submit my packet because it is a nominative assignment and am currently waiting on an official answer from branch.

It is highly sought. Recommend you jump in it. I was in the running to be an exchange officer and I got rooked at the last minute. Was pretty pissed as I'd been brushing up on my English all that week. They'll put you up on post. You get TRICARE through the NIH in the U.K. All the exchange guys usually meet twice a year for a PT test. There is access to US support, but it is from the two AFBs there. Don't know proximity to you what that looks like.

Thank you for the advice, Sir. I was curious on whether I would be able to reside on post or be forced to live on the economy. It does sound like a great opportunity. It is a nominative assignment so I'm hoping I get an answer soon. Thanks again.

SFC (Join to see) - I would not have on vs off post as the thing that holds you back. You'll most likely have OHA and COLA, check DFAS. Don't screw around with it and end up being left with Stewart, Polk, or Irwin.

I don't know the exact particulars of that exchange assignment, put they usually roll out the best they got for the foreign exchanges.

Maybe just a little, Sir! However I was really hoping to touch base with someone who might have filled the role in the past.
