Chip I saw this post and passed it and thought it was going on by but here I am, I am back.

I dont give a shit what service, or MOS, or unit the murderers are from. First thing I would strip their tridents ect... I would explain they are not SEALs or MARSOC operators they are simple criminals, thieves and murderers. I would make sure they went up for a death sentence. FYI if they are put to death because they murdered another special operator no life insurance. I think this needs to be in the news every night. We are worried about things like porn stars and russians. I say we have to fix ourselves first before we can do anything else.

Looks like it either takes two marines or two seals for each Green Beret...things that make you go HMMMMMM.
Not making light of the situation but what is the problem with this. I got interservice rivalry but why take it to this type of extreme, Just don't understand.

I would guess three factors could have been involved: Roughhousing, "friendly" inter-service rivalry, and ALCOHOL. The human windpipe is fragile - like a blow to the head or neck - and can cause permanent injury or death surprisingly easy - especially for folks trained to fight as lethal "weapons".

John I understand what you are saying, makes sense, they love to roll around and establish the Alpha male, got it. But these are multi million dollar special operators. That speaks volumes about a mans honesty, and integrity even if he was playing around and accidentally killed the guy. But to hide it like a 3rd grader, WTF, I would not want those guys in SOF for the simple reason you cant trust them. I think this issue is much greater than that, this comes down to murder. I hope they find all of the jackasses involved, make them an E0, then put them to death, with zero fucking life insurance, ZERO. Chief, if it sounds like I am mad, I am fucking furious. I they are mission failures on every level. They screwed up the mission they were on, they tried to steal government funds, and the murdered another special operator.

Yes Alcohol has ruined a lot of careers and ended a lot of lives. I am very familiar with the negatives of alcohol on missions, If that was the case i would say that should end their time as special operators and make all E0's but I dont think that deal.

Chief I am sorry for going on and on but I have worked in the Special Operations field all over the world and with all the services and lots of MOS's. My last assignment was BN CDR for an SF BN. most of my time in the military is in SF so I guess it is a little personal.
