Belated thank you my friend and brother-in-Christ t Sgt (Join to see) for your diligence in posting our friend, former RallyPoint member emeritus, and brother-in-Christ Colonel Mikel Burroughs VFV Motivational/Inspirational Quotes & Message of the Day for Saturday, March 4, 2023.

Topic: “Grateful Day!”
I am grateful the to the LORD for my eternal salvation and for my darling wife.
1. I am grateful that the LORD raised my 6-month-old infant son back from death to life in my arms on September 28, 1991.
2. I am grateful that in October 2008 the LORD told me that each of my four sons will be eternally saved. HIS promises are yea and amen and HE always fulfills HIS WORD in HIS perfect timing.
3. I celebrate life and I am grateful that the US Supreme Court overruled Roe V Wade and rescinded that bad decision and sent it back to the states
4. As an adopted child of God, I am grateful that as a gentile I have been grafted in to olive tree by God as a wild olive shoot [Romans 11:17-18 'But if some of the branches were broken off, and you, although a wild olive shoot, were grafted in among the others and now share in the nourishing root of the olive tree, do not be arrogant toward the branches. If you are, remember it is not you who support the root, but the root that supports you.'
6. I am beyond grateful that God is always with us and HE guides and at times carries us throughout our lifetime. At the end of this physical lifetime "We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we shall be changed."

Quotes
1. John Wooden 'Talent is God given. Be humble. Fame is man-given. Be grateful. Conceit is self-given. Be careful.'
2. Germany Kent 'It’s a funny thing about life, once you begin to take note of the things you are grateful for, you begin to lose sight of the things that you lack.'
3. C.S. Lewis 'Gratitude looks to the Past and love to the Present; fear, avarice, lust, and ambition look ahead.
4. Maya Angelou 'Let gratitude be the pillow upon which you kneel to say your nightly prayer. And let faith be the bridge you build to overcome evil and welcome good.'
5. G.K. Chesterton 'I would maintain that thanks are the highest form of thought; and that gratitude is happiness doubled by wonder.'
6. Ann Voskamp 'Gratitude for the seemingly insignificant — a seed — this plants the giant miracle'.'

Scriptures
a. Philippians 1:6 'And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus.
b. 2 Timothy 1:3-7 I thank God whom I serve, as did my ancestors, with a clear conscience, as I remember you constantly in my prayers night and day. As I remember your tears, I long to see you, that I may be filled with joy. I am reminded of your sincere faith, a faith that dwelt first in your grandmother Lois and your mother Eunice and now, I am sure, dwells in you as well. For this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you through the laying on of my hands, for God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.
c. Psalm 139:13-14a ESV 'For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother's womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.'
d. Matthew 5:43-45 ESV ‘You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, so that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven. For he makes his sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust.
e. Psalm 23:1-6 ESV ‘The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul. He leads me in paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; you anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever.

No doubt you are grateful to the LORD for your eternal salvation. He grafted each of us into the tree of life in the fullness of time. While there is no inherent righteousness in any of us, by God’s grace HE imputes the righteousness of Christ to each of HIS Own adopted sons and daughters. ‘But if some of the branches were broken off, and you, although a wild olive shoot, were grafted in among the others and now share in the nourishing root of the olive tree, do not be arrogant toward the branches. If you are, remember it is not you who support the root, but the root that supports you. Then you will say, “Branches were broken off so that I might be grafted in.” That is true. They were broken off because of their unbelief, but you stand fast through faith. So do not become proud, but fear.' [Romans 11:17-20 ESV] my brother-in-Christ Maj Robert Thornton

I pray for wisdom and discernment for each of YOUR adopted sons and daughters who read or listen to this prayer. I thank YOU for sanctifying the soul of each of YOUR own individually and corporately. YOU prune us of desires, goals, and even traditions which are distractions or worse for us and those we love. YOU give us hope and YOU bless each of us with new desires. I thank YOU for renewing the mind of each of throughout our life of faith in YOU. YOU fulfill YOUR promises to each generation in YOUR perfect timing. ‘Therefore, preparing your minds for action, and being sober-minded, set your hope fully on the grace that will be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ. As obedient children, do not be conformed to the passions of your former ignorance, but as he who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, since it is written, “You shall be holy, for I am holy.” And if you call on him as Father who judges impartially according to each one’s deeds, conduct yourselves with fear throughout the time of your exile, knowing that you were ransomed from the futile ways inherited from your forefathers, not with perishable things such as silver or gold, but with the precious blood of Christ, like that of a lamb without blemish or spot.’ [1 Peter 1:13-19 ESV]

Hopefully you and I will continue to share how the LORD has blessed and delivered us in the past with anyone willing to listen. I expect that you like I try to demonstrate faith in God more than speak about it. No doubt you recognize that the atonement of Jesus the Christ on the cross cleansed you of all sin past, present and future. 'He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed.’ [1 Peter 2:24] I hope and pray that you and I place our trust in the LORD, submit our will to HIM and be grateful for HIS love for each of us. ‘Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. Be not wise in your own eyes; fear the LORD, and turn away from evil. It will be healing to your flesh and refreshment to your bones.’' [Proverbs 3:5-8 ESV]

I lift entrepreneurs, manufacturers, inventors, authors, artists and parents to YOU LORD. I am grateful that YOU inspire individuals to manufacture, build, write, invent and parents to train up their children in the admonition of the LORD. I pray that YOU bless each with sufficient knowledge, skill, innovation, and a measure of humility as they work to bless others through their works. 'For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.' [Ephesians 2:10 ESV]

Human life is precious to the LORD and I am grateful that the US Supreme Court overturned Roe V Wade and returned the induced abortion issue to the states and territories. I pray that in 2023 and 2024, Congress will pass pro-life laws and overcome any vetoes from POTUS Biden. I pray that YOU do all that is necessary to turn mothers to be from seeking induced abortions. I pray that YOU motivate counselors to speak compassionately and respectfully to the pregnant women and girls. Help them to understand the value of human life and to place their trust in YOU. 'For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother's womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well. My frame was not hidden from you, when I was being made in secret, intricately woven in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed substance; in your book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there was none of them.' [Psalm 139:13-16 ESV]
I pray that you and your family members sleep well Saturday night, and each will awake refreshed and healthy on Sunday morning.

Grateful to me falls into the same category as the air we breathe. You can't survive long without being grateful for anything you have.
