For all ranks and all services. Do you read Science Fiction? Which book, series, etc. is your favorite? Were you inspired by what you read and/or saw?

All sorts. Best ever, Moon is a Harsh Mistress; best lately, The Last Centurion.

Ha, a Robert Heinlein fan. I got hooked on Science Fiction with Heinlein's Young Adult Series. I particularly liked "Star Beast." The one John Ringo book I liked was "Yellow Eyes." One of my favorite novels was "Mission of Gravity" by Hal Clement.

Lt Col Timothy Cassidy-Curtis - Corey's Expanse series is great, too, and even the Netflix version is pretty good. Harlan Ellison is an old favorite, Repent, Harlequin, Said the Ticktockman and also I Have No Mouth But I Must Scream. Heinlein's Glory Road and so many other are longtime favorites, too.

I have not read Corey's works. I am aware of the TV Show, but have not watched it. Perhaps I will consider it. :) (I have found that the books are often better than the shows.)

Best book: Starship Troopers (ok, 90% of Heinlein).
Best series: toss-up between Kris Longknife and Honor Harrington.
