The Colonel's Motivational Quotes of the Day!
Good "Saturday" Morning Everyone from the "Eagle's Nest" here in Castle Rock, CO — 29 June 2019!
It feels like a VFVRIDE "Warriors for Life" Poker Run and Texas Hold'Em Morning and Day in (4) major locations as Victory for Veteran Foundation along with some awesome American Legion Rider Groups, VFW Riders, and Orange County Chopper Volunteers raise money to reduce veterans suicides across this nation! Good Luck in Denver, CO, Dyer, IN, Boerne, TX, and Newburgh, NY! Keep everyone safe and be safe on the highways and byways motorcycle riders!
Today is: "Rewarding Day!" Why Not?
"What a rewarding experience to raise money for the worthiest of causes for our veterans and service members across this nation in educating, resourcing, and reducing suicides among our brothers and sisters!" Join me in this cause." — COL (Ret) Mikel Burroughs
If you can't ride then go to this link and help us help our veterans and service members today: https://victoryforveterans.org/donate/
The Quote in the Picture Today Reads: "There's nothing so rewarding as to make people realize they are worthwhile in this world." — Bob Anderson
"Helping others carries its own rewards, the first of which is a return to humanity." — Richard Paul Evans
"We each have the power to give. It’s the most gratifying feeling ever. By reaching out to help another human being you're sending ripples of positive change." — Dana Arcuri
"In the arena of human life the honours and rewards fall to those who show their good qualities." — Aristotle
"The reward of a work is to have produced it; the reward of effort is to have grown by it." — Antonin Sertillanges
"Persistence and determination are always rewarded." — Christine Rice
"A good deed is never lost." — Alexandre Dumas
"The reward of a thing well done is to have done it." — Ralph Waldo Emerson

Good morning COL Mikel J. Burroughs and looking forward to the report out on the VFV ride today. Tom and I will be thinking of you all and praying all goes well and that we make a lot of money to support our veterans.
Virtually all of us here on Rally Point knew when we signed up to serve that it would not be easy but that it would be rewarding. I knew that getting through training (the physical part) would be tough for me but the real challenge was the self discipline issue. The rewards have been so many that I cannot even count them; the connections, the opportunity to serve, the humanitarian missions, the people who have become more than family and the list goes on. Now I have the additional rewards of serving the military and veteran community through the Red Cross and VFV and seeing the results as we make a difference for those who served. A smile and a "thanks" are the very best rewards.

I pray that you and I remember to honor and respect family members, friends, coworkers and even strangers, my friend and sister-in-Christ Lt Col Charlie Brown.
I pray that each one who reads this prayer will be motivated to reward those who should be honored and rewarded all of our days. Let us use our time, talents and treasure wisely and graciously and to remember it is better to give than to receive.
LORD YOU gave all YOU could possibly give in the Atonement and YOU took on YOURSELF more than we can possibly imagine. YOU bless all of creation with common grace and YOU bless YOUR own with special grace.
Empower us to reward those YOU call us to reward. I pray for wisdom and discernment to hear YOUR call and that we each be sensitive to YOU and quick to respond.
YOU desire each one of us to honor the widow, the widower, the orphan, the invalid, the diseased and the wounded as well as the prisoners of conscience, especially.
Heal this nation and repair the rifts that have been tearing at the fabric of this nation. Rebuke the devourer and restrain those who desire and plan to divide us further.
By the power and authority of the Name above all names, Jesus the Christ.

Good Saturday Morning COL. "Rewarding Day" I have no time right now as I am out the door in 15 minutes but ave a book to write on this one..I pray I am not too tired when I get home to write it.
At Vintage Restorations and my former Company Hot Shot Logistics/Emergency Delivery Service
we are what I call a 5% company...5% of profits goes to buy food for food banks, I do not donate money but go to a food source and procure the food and deliver to a chosen food bank in the State, so nothing goes to admin. costs. My reward is when I pull up and ask where they want it....Since this is the first year we are having tremendous sales it will be very good and I am especially looking forward to the Holiday season...! So that's my thing and I love doing it.
In the meantime in the simplest of forms....this is all you need:
"The reward of a thing well done is to have done it." — Ralph Waldo Emerson
Going for a second cup and the Pledge...Then out the door...
Rock The Day COL Mikel J. Burroughs
I'm certainly going to...
good morning to Bella and Mom...
