I belong to a sewing group here in our little town and I asked the ladies if they would be willing to make lap blankets for veterans and all of them said yes! So I started a Go Fund Me page to see if we could come up with some donations to help with the cost of fabric. We are going to donate them to the VFW and if we raise enough money we will take some to the Veteran's home in Claremore Oklahoma. Here is the link if anyone is interested in donating!

An acquaintance of mine here in Colorado Springs does the same; hers go through a Homeless Veteran Outreach program. How she funds her operation I'm not sure, but, every Tuesday AM she and a group of veterans meet for breakfast here:
IHOP COLORADO SPRINGS CO, 5749 Stetson Hill Blvd Colorado Springs, CO 80917 If your in the Colorado Springs Area they won't mind too much if you join them.
