Your point, IMV, is a valid one ... and the Washington Press should be careful with its projections of the impact of this non-decision by the U.S. Supreme Court. Democrats are as vulnerable to court decisions on gerrymandering as Republicans are. Basically the only thing that has happened with this case is that the U.S. Supreme Court has declined to intervene and told Pennsylvania ... heal thyself. I suspect the legislature will generate another redistricting plan that satisfies the minimum requirements of the Pennsylvania Supreme Court.
