Why would we want to know how many actual citizens live in our country? This is not classified information nor is it against the law to ask. I disagree with the SCOTUS on this one.

I totally disagree with SCOTUS on this issue! The United States is a Sovereign Country & as such we need to know exactly how many citizens, foreigners & ILLEGAL ALIENS are part of our Country & we need to know where (by state or Large city) the live! Representatives are determined by this metric, as are statistics on population age, #'s of Children, household populations and more... Our Country needs the information much the same as a busiy does... For cost data, distribution of assets, and the list goes on... It is about time the citizens of this country say what our Country needs, not the pundits in Washington D.C. & elsewhere!!!

You have the answer: "Representatives are determined by this metric,"The fight for this was done by those that also want sanctuary cities for non-citizens....and they want that count to help inflate their need for Representatives.

I cannot begin to fathom any argument against counting only citizens, natural born or naturalized. As for the SCOTUS decision, I must give them the benefit of doubt. They cannot decide cases based on common sense but rather on the evidence presented. Therefore, I must assume that the case was badly presented as in the case against OJ Simpson. In that case, which I was able to watch on TV, the evidence was presented so badly that, had I been on the jury, I would have had to vote for acquittal even if I had witnessed OJ murder his wife and friend. I suspect that those Justices not blinded by ideology, must have been in the same situation
