Wanted to say thank you Rally Point community! I had asked a while back for help in completing a survey call "Soldiers of Ink" in which I was collecting data for a course project. I got a great response from a lot of people and I am currently finalizing my paper and wanted to take a moment and thank everyone that participated in the survey!

A portion of the Abstract (rough draft) to share:

"I received 40 responses that could be used for the data. Of those responses I got information back from three branches of the service, Army, Air Force and Navy, with the Army given the greatest response of 35 overall or 87.5%. Out of the overall responses, 87.5% or 35 had tattoos and that only 37.5% or 15 had tattoos before joining the service. Out of those 15, only 2 had more than one tattoo; however after service 87.5% have added tattoos. I also found that overall the amount that have a patriotic tattoo to be 19 yes and 21 no, or 47.5% yes and 52.5% no, an even split overall when we consider the standard deviation to be 1.42. It appears that people that serve are likely to get more tattoos while serving and after, as 72.5% stated they plan to get more after their service ends. "

So, Thank you all!

Capt Brandon Charters The survey was done on a outside service so i could keep the service member anonymous. Once I have the entire paper completed I would be will to share it with whom ever would like to read it, I can also share the data. As you can see from the survey it was very simple and short. I was trying to find the connections between service and tattoos. I have to say it was remarkable to have this community to lean on for help!

SSG (Join to see) - Got it. That makes sense. Did most of the participants click on your public post to take the survey or did you engage most members through RP Mail messages? Curious what you found to be most effective.

Capt Brandon Charters the public post worked best. At first I was going to use the RP messenger/email. However, time did not allow. I had to take a condensed 7 week semester, so I could be off in time to attend BLC in November
