In order for electric cars, which I would never own, to become popular and efficient, would be to install solar panels or make the entire car a solar panel. But, that would kill our oil prices and production, it would impact millions of people, and refineries would have to shut down since there wouldn't be as much oil needed. The batteries would cost a fortune to replace. Eventually they wouldn't hold a charge, and the last but not the least thing is, they are ugly cars.

I would be great if we take advantage of solar, wind, and hydro power.

COL Mikel J. Burroughs Great piece. How is the power grid in CA? We do need to think about becoming greener. I happen to live in a East/West facing house and have thought about putting solar panels on the west side. I have heard that in some areas you can sell the energy you do not use to the power companies.

BTW CPT M Cannonie Colorado is gorgeous I go snowboarding there every year. Theres something very spiritual about a snow covered mountain when viewed from its summit. In the spring, white water rafting is incredible. I could go on but you need to discover Colorado for yourself. If you ever get the chance the first place you should go to is Boulder and drive in the canyons from there. Absolutely Gorgeous! Gardens of the Gods is nice but the drive up Pikes peak is also very nice and you can see both in the same day as garden is inside Colorado Springs and Pikes Peak is just outside. But I will leave the rest for your visit there.

SN Earl Robinson - P.S. I was just in SF area and there were no Gas stations near me...after a little research I found out that carbon fuels had been banned in that area.

I'm just outside SF in Fremont CA. Too bad we don't know each other better. (I've only been here 6 weeks LOL). I could have shown you what I've discovered since coming here!
