We used to get most of our imported Oil from Venezuela but now that we are largely energy independent........I am not sure anymore. However if this was the 1980's we would have intervened as it was a source of most our imported Oil. Post 2000, I think we proved we really don't need Venezuela anything any more......sad for the people that live there.
