We don't need new laws, we need the moral courage to be able to call a spade a spade and stop worrying about offending people.

We act like it's hard to figure out who the extremists and potential domestic terrorists are, but they've been wearing red MAGA hats, flying giant banners, and making themselves readily identifiable for years.

MSgt Robert "Rock" Aldi - BINGO!!!! you win...I was wondering who the Twice Impeached ex-POTUS GROUPIE would break first from my posting of the Twice Impeached ex-POTUS "BRAND". The good thing is I only used it on you a few times. As far as fence sitting... I have beautiful grass on both sides of MY fence so I visit both sides... when I want to.
As far as you voting me down...go right ahead... that confirms your character... or lack of is probably more appropriate for a GROUPIE of the Twice Impeached ex-POTUS. Don't drink too much of that orange coolade.

"We don't need new laws" cried the criminals that are afraid to get caught if new laws are passed and enforced. This isn't about expanding government powers, it's about punishing domestic terrorists. I defy anyone of you to show me a current law that lays out how Domestic Terrorism is defined and what the punishment is for conviction. Laws that cover criminal activity that do not specifically mention domestic terrorism don't count.

SFC (Join to see) - So, wouldn't we need new laws to change that little oversight?

SGT (Join to see) - Treason, as defined in the Constitution, would not cover most acts of terrorism that are carried out by US citizens. The two most notably acts of domestic terrorism, the Oklahoma City bombing and the attack on the Capitol, do not qualify as acts of treason.

I purposely did not mention 9/11 because i don't consider it domestic terrorism. It was carried out by foreign nationals to further an international campaign of terror. In my book, that's called International Terrorism.

SGT Edward Wilcox Thanks for the info... makes sense to me. I guess that's why Congress is considering establishing laws to cover Domestic Terrorism.

No real surprise here...knee jerk reaction...similar to when a mass shooting occurs...not enough gun laws...lets make some more...Columbine had 19 gun laws already on the books when those 2 psychotic kids shot it up..one of the first things that became of it.."we need MORE gun laws"..same here apparently

Currently the only way to charge someone with domestic terrorism is tying them to a foreign extremist group.

Did you forget your oath? support and defend the Constitution against ALL enemies foreign AND domestic. So you think domestic terrorists should get a pass if they aren't tied to some larger foreign group?
