I remember feeling the tremors from the blast while in school. teacher thought it was an earthquake and had us get under our desks.

I was a federal police officer working the day shift and heard the news of the bomb explosion
in Oklahoma City. All federal buildings were alerted of the bombing as we thought there
could be other bombings across the nation at federal buildings. A day of horror.

SPC Woody Bullard That was certainly the right approach to take. 9/11 demonstrated what a series of attacks can do to the psyche of the country.

My wife worked at the Federal Building in Spokane, WA at that time. We saw this on the morning news before I took her to work. I knew better, but she insisted I take her in. When we got there, the building was under lock-down with security and local PD all around the place. The streets were all closed off so no one could get within 2 or 3 blocks.
I took her home and we watched the unfolding of the story.
Truly a tragic day.
