I know this has been posed a million times, but I could not find the exact information that I need. I am starting PA school in January and would like to utilize go to board for the Health Professions Scholarship Program.

As soon as I found out about my acceptance I started (or so I thought) the process to initiate a conditional release with my reserve component admin a month ago. I submitted the 368 signed by my recruiter and necessary memorandum to support my request. Apparently immediately after my admin went on AT for several weeks, which I found out when I attempted to call her to request updates. I continued calling until she returned to ask what the status on everything was and she told me it had not yet to be uploaded into EPAT and that my counseling statement had not been signed (although I signed it in her presence the first time). I got the counseling statement signed and got it back to her (as she told me that was all was missing) and I contacted her to confirm that the Career Counselor had sent it to her. At that time I received her voicemail stating that she was going to be out of office for another two weeks on leave in the next two days. I called again and emailed, trying to catch her before she left, and no response.

At that point I admit, frustration set in because of the lack of communication. So by the time she returns I'm going to have lost a month of movement time because to my knowledge it still has not been submitted into EPAT. I reached out to the S1 w/ all my attached documents asking if she can upload it into EPAT, as I have all the completed documents and she simply responded with a very concise email saying that admin will action my request... which I take as a "no" she isn't going do it.

Thus here I am. I always hear that I am in control of my career and I have found, from my experience, that I'm only in as much control as the person who is actually willing to support my request for advancement. I intend to contact the necessary 2 star to explain the situation in hopes that I can get the process expedited and I just want to ensure I'm contacting the correct person. If it doesn't work out, it doesn't work out, but I'm not going to sit around and wait for something to possibly happen because I've missed board dates before being patient and trusting other people.

I apologize for the long post, but I wanted to include enough details for anyone able to assist in identifying the proper POC.

Very solid advice here even for "Officers" when it comes to an individual Soldier action.

You will be either the ARMEDCOM CG or the 88th RRC CG, whichever is in your hierarchy.

The easiest and quickest way is to look at the chain of command pictures at your center and move right to left until you spy two stars on a picture and that the first MG in your chain.
