I'm really trying to do my first triathlon in the fall. Do you guys have any tips for someone who is new to this. Running is my strongest point but should I still train that section just as hard as I would for swimming and the bike section. I want to know from someone who's already been there done that.. Any advice or tips would be helpful.

Austin,
Training plans are very important. There are numerous books you can buy or online resources you can use to develop a solid training plan. After you find a training plan you have to trust it. You would think you just run, swim, bike, and crush it on race day...but its not that easy! Pick a distance ( I recommend starting with a sprint and working up), pick a plan tailored to that distance, and have fun on race day!

I'm going to do a sprint this fall. I have been watching videos on youtube and I figured going to the local running stores people there could help me out as well.

SSG Carlos Madden I've completed a few Olympics and sprints. I think they're a lot of fun to train for and compete in.

For swimming find a swim teacher that can not only help with your training plan but also work on your stroke.

I'm a swimmer but I imagine that swimming is the most difficult leg for most people. True?

When you feel like you have hit a sticking point in your run training, cycling will help you break through. It makes a huge difference in your leg endurance.
