I'm not surprised with this proposal. Before I left Afghanistan in March 2012, I supported and participated mentoring missions with the ANA. Some units did not take change and we pushed them like basic trainees. Increasing blue vs green incidents and along with the previous adminstration's directives to reduce troop numbers made the "roach infestation" possible.

Maybe my travel plans will change. I'd rather go to Afghanistan again than Iraq again..

If the Afghan government can't defend themselves from the Taliban then that is unfortunate. It is time for us to get back to focusing on terrorist not tribal conflicts.
