A kids’ t-ball game ended abruptly when a brawl broke out between parents and coaches in Stanton, Kentucky, earlier this week.
No major injuries were reported, and the real casualties of the escalation of the events were, of course, the kids who were just trying to play their game and have some fun. Instead, the remainder of the game was called off, no champion was declared, and no end ceremony with promised trophies and medals took place.
In response to the unexpected clash, the Stanton Parks and Recreation Board declared a ban on scorekeeping and championship tournaments for its t-ball league for 5 and 6-year-olds. The possibility of some participants in the fight facing criminal charges is still being explored by the local police.

So ultimately the only ones punished are the kids...because they have immature parents and coaches.

Lt Col Scott Shuttleworth but I think shrieking in all caps is not an effective way to assert dominance... It just comes off as a baby tantrum...

Lt Col Scott Shuttleworth - I had an admin delete all the posts on this thread because it's pointless. Please stop engaging with the troll. He's not going to listen and he's the pure definition of Internet troll.
"In internet slang, a troll is a person who posts inflammatory, insincere, digressive, extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community (such as a newsgroup, forum, chat room, or blog), with the intent of provoking readers into displaying emotional responses, or manipulating their perception. This is typically for the troll's amusement, or to achieve a specific result such as disrupting a rival's online activities or manipulating a political process. Even so, Internet trolling can also be defined as purposefully causing confusion or harm to other users online, for no reason at all."

As a former Dixie Youth Baseball & Softball Umpire, with over 10 years experience. The Umpires should have quelled the Coaches before it even got close to this! I've had to throw out couches in playoff games, also threw out a whole teams stands before. Sad to see that coaches and parents did this to the kids. Believe it or not, it's supposed to be for the kids! Not the parents!

SFC (Join to see) You are dead on when you said the kids were the ones that had to suffer.
Quick story...I once and remember I said once refereed a little league one summer. I was called everything but who I was. One time I had a coach curse me out with words that would make a sailor blush...I ejected him and when he wouldn't leave I had someone call the Police and had him escorted to his car and banned for the rest of the season. Once had a parent yell at their kid like they were a dog. I told them to stand down and that was not appropriate for the ball field...they threatened to whip my @$$ right there and before I thought I told them to go tot heir car until the game was over and their kid could join them then...well they tried to come on the field after me and I dropped my gear ready to defend but another parent or someone else got between and they were escorted off the field with their kid in tow never to return and I turned in my umpire gear to the city park department department...When this happens all the kids see is what they think they need to be...not about winning or losing or being a good teammate but acting a fool. All they want to do is play ball and it gets ruined by an immature parent or coach.
