An A26, which was used in Viet Nam which I had presumed an earlier life was a B26. but it turns out wasn't. (I had stated earlier on this posting it was, but corrected via edit this posting after finding out My mistake on that information ) Yes they were used in a lot of places and longer than most are aware. I had seen some of these aircraft while in Viet Nam and was pretty surprised to something there with a WWII past and before even I was born. There were some modifications on the aircraft that are apparent to bring it more up to date but it was still the same old air frame. Of Course the A1E Skyraider was another example of a WWII aircraft from out of the mothballs, so I guess the A26 wasn't the only one to make a return. There are still a few things about the A26 I didn't know but thanks LTC Curlee for Your input. Guess it at least proves I can still learn and be taught once in a while, thats kind of positive I think.

I bought and built this model as a young adult. 1/48 scale flak bait. Too bad there are so few B-26 planes left. Most were cut up for scrap because they were considered too difficult to fly.
