My wife and I have met Star Parker and have been impressed by her presence and her intelligence. Mostly, we've been impressed by her common sense. As Jews, we are not ready to follow her into the church of the "born again", but neither are we offended by her religion. Her message is valid for all regardless of their religion or their lack of faith. To be honest, the part of this video that shocked me the most focused on her description of the lifestyle of the poor and those on welfare. She's lived it and made it sound enticing to any who don't have any scruples. I recommend watching it

Wow...100% on target.
The narrative that often appears to be "pushed" is that "we" (the Right) have no compassion for the impoverished, hate minorities, and desire to impose our religious views on others. I think that is a clever way to keep "us" always on the defensive, attempting to answer charges rather than offer solutions. Reality, at least as I see it, is that the Right is largely comprised of working class families who already pay substantial taxes, donate to charitable causes, participate in their communities, are represented in every ethnic minority, and who are steadily being "pushed out" of academia, and the public sector.
